TASH'S YOGA BIOGRAPHY
Yoga enabled Tash Rolfe to quiet her mind and rejuvenate her body, bringing genuine ease, health and well-being into all aspects of her life and relationships.
Tash realised that she could assist others, on this same journey and this is why, through her teachings, Tash shares the yoga and meditation techniques that worked for her during her own transformation. These easily learned techniques have a profound effect, and with practice, the experience is carried off the mat and out into our lives.
Tash has been a student of yoga for more than twenty years and has a devoted daily practice or Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
The style of yoga delivered by Tash is inspired by the Ashtanga and Iyengar Hatha Yoga traditions, the Yin Yoga of Sarah Powers as well as the yoga taught by her current teacher Claire Bew.
Tash has completed a 350 hour teacher training with My health Yoga, is both certified to teach by and is a registered teaching member of Yoga Australia and teaches regular classes at the Albany Yoga Room.
TASH'S TEACHING METHOD
Tash places an equal emphasis upon Asana (yoga poses), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Pratyahara (internalisation), Dharana and Dhyana (meditation) in her teachings, as well as sharing a good dose of yoga philosophy.
Tash clearly articulates how to move into and out of Asana and this is underscored by anatomical awareness and yoga philosophy.
Her approach to teaching ensures that yoga classes are suitable for all levels of experience, from complete beginners to more experienced yoga students.
Tash is delighted to offer those with physical ailments or limitations alternative postures and props to support them in aligning their body, enabling them to experience a variation while working towards full Asana.
IN HER OWN WORDS.
I love what yoga has done for me! I now feel ease, health and well- being in my life. But this wasn't always the case.
Like most of us, I wear many different hats in my life. Outwardly I appeared calm, composed and confident, but my inner disposition was an entirely different story...
